Storm Lake

From its very beginning in 1870, Storm Lake was destined to be a community to look up to in northwest Iowa. With it's beautiful 3,000 acre lake, the town grew to become the county seat of Buena Vista County as well as the home of Buena Vista University, one of the leading, private 4-year colleges in the Midwest. The university forum has underground classrooms, auditoriums and meeting room areas.

Metcalf House is located just 2 blocks from beautiful Storm Lake. Featuring summertime events of fishing, skiing, jetskiing, boating, canoeing, sailing and swimming, Storm Lake has something for everyone. Summertime also brings CABA, SERPACI, the Living History Tree Museum, Witter Gallery and so much more. Fall is a beautiful time of year for walking or biking around the 7 miles of Bike Trail to view the changing of the leaves. Don't let winter snow get you down!
